Get to Know Nick Huggard
Hi, I’m Nick Huggard, a Marriage and Family Therapist and co-founder of The Compassion Practice in Mission, Kansas. I work with adults, teenagers, couples, and families, offering in-person appointments and online therapy for clients in Kansas.
I bring a warm, accepting, and collaborative presence to therapy. My goal is to build a relationship where you can speak openly, explore difficult feelings, and trust that your experience will be approached with care.
Life can be difficult, and I don’t believe anyone should have to feel alone in what they are going through. We all deserve to feel heard, loved, and understood, especially during the moments when it can be hardest to believe those things about ourselves.
In my therapy room, my goal is to create a space where you can be open and honest about what you are experiencing without feeling judged. I want the people I work with to feel genuinely seen and heard, whether you are struggling individually, feeling stuck in a relationship, or navigating challenges within your family.
I work with individuals, couples, and families, and my hope is that therapy feels like a place where you can show up as your authentic self while we work together toward the life and relationships you want and a deeper understanding of who you are.

Satir Family Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Attachment Theory
Education & Supervision
Master of Science in Family Therapy from Friends University and continued supervision from Eric Parks, MS, LCMFT, AAMFT, and KSBSRB Approved Supervisor.
Session Fees
Nick’s Rates – Individual (50 min) – $150; Couples & Families (50 min) – $150; Couples & Families (90 min) – $175. Superbills available for insurance reimbursement.
If cost is a concern, please talk with me before assuming it’s not possible. I keep a limited number of sliding scale spots open, depending on my caseload. While I can’t always guarantee availability, I’ll do my best to work with you.
